Details and conditions of participation

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the FILTER CHALLENGE is to service an engine by replacing worn filters. Participants are timed to measure their performance.

ORGANISATION

The FILTER CHALLENGE is a recurring event organised by the HIFI Group. It takes the form of sessions held when the Company participates in events (exhibitions, groupings, festivals, etc.). The decision to organise a FILTER CHALLENGE session is at the Company's discretion. Each session lasts for the duration of the Company's presence at the event in question. Participation in the FILTER CHALLENGE is free and open to anyone over the age of 18, with the exception of HIFI Group employees. Each FILTER CHALLENGE session is supervised by a member of the Company, who is responsible for ensuring that the rules are followed, recording the time taken and organising the session.

RULES

  • Participants have until the end of the session to register and attempt to achieve the best time. Registration is mandatory in order to participate in the game.

  • Only one entry per email address is counted. Participants may replay the game, but only by replacing their previous time. Only the last time achieved is recorded in the rankings.

  • The participant may begin engine maintenance once the timer has been started, which is triggered by the participant themselves pressing the buzzer. Any start before the buzzer is triggered will not be counted.

  • Engine maintenance must be carried out in accordance with the following six steps:

  1. Completely unscrew and re-screw the oil drain plug

  2. Replace the oil filter

  3. Replace the fuel filter

  4. Replace the air filter

  5. Reset the clogging indicator

  6. Check the oil dipstick

  • The participant presses the buzzer to stop the timer.

  • Removed filters must be placed in the correct location. If a filter falls on the floor or the filter sets are mixed up, the time will not be validated.

  • The time completed must be validated by the supervisor, who ensures compliance with the rules, stages and proper maintenance of the engine. Only the time validated by the supervisor is recorded and appears in the overall ranking for the session.

VALIDATION OF TIME WORKED

The FILTER CHALLENGE is a game based on skill, performance and validation by the supervisor of the time achieved by the participant. In the event of a tie (to within 0.01 seconds) between the three best times achieved in the same session, a draw will be held to determine the ranking of the participants.
The supervisor checks each entry to validate the run. The validation or cancellation of a time is left to the discretion of the supervisor, who is responsible for ensuring compliance with the rules and engine maintenance steps. The supervisor has the option of cancelling a time in the event of a breach of the rules. Legal recourse to challenge the supervisor's decision is expressly excluded.

RANKING

The validated time is recorded in the overall ranking for the session.  This ranking is public and updated in real time. The ranking becomes final at the end of the session and is used to determine the three winners. Only the pseudonyms provided by the participants appear in the ranking.

WINNERS

Participants who achieve the three best times in each session will receive one of the prizes announced during the session as a reward. Winners will be contacted by email within 15 days of the end of the event to inform them of their prize and agree on the terms and conditions for sending said prizes.

LIABILITY

The Company accepts no responsibility for incidents that are not attributable to any fault on its part. HIFI Group reserves the discretionary right to modify, shorten or cancel one or more sessions of the FILTER CHALLENGE in the event of force majeure, technical problems or the occurrence of any factor or event that could adversely affect the smooth running of the game.
